Lehigh Northampton Carbon Monroe Counties

You can get any of the services listed below at the Check-out Desk at the Main Library. In order to get a library card, you must be able to provide appropriate proof of identification and residence at the time of issue.

Resident Card:
No charge to Allentown School District and Salisbury Township.

Non-resident Card:
$40 per year; available to anyone in Pennsylvania residing in an area without a public library.

ACCESS PA Borrowing
ACCESS PA stickers for borrowing at other public libraries can be placed on resident library cards only. Ask at main check-out desk.

Cardholders from other public libraries with ACCESS PA stickers may borrow material. Proof of identification also required.

Computer Use Only Card
$2 for 3 months of computer access following our normal patron computer policies.

For resident cards, two forms of identification will be required including at least one picture ID. Acceptable forms include but may not be limited to the following:

- Valid PA driver's license or identification card.

- Recently cancelled mail showing your name and current address.

- Checkbook showing your name and current address.

- ID cards including credit cards, social security cards, etc.

- School ID or recent report card showing your name and current address.

Additionally, children under 12 are required to have a parent or guardian present with two of the above forms of identification in order to receive a card.
